JOBST® Custom Compression Landmark Measuring Workshop

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is aimed to support you and your patients along the full continuum of care with basic anatomy, physiology, indications, contraindications, and use of compression to provide therapeutic outcomes and improved patient compliance. Educational slides, lectures, hands on learning and lab will be utilized to provide solutions for treatment and compliancy of the lymphedema patient. Appropriate measuring techniques and hands on measuring and lab work and appropriate product selection will be addressed.
This 4-hour course is intended for basic and intermediate level participants including OT, COTA, PT, PTA and Fitters.

OBJECTIVES:
After this workshop, students should be able to:

I. Discuss gradient compression and its use in the treatment of CVI and lymphatic diseases
II. Implement plan for measurement and fitting of custom compression garments
III. Demonstrate appropriate landmarks for measuring custom compression garments
IV. Demonstrate appropriate tension for each landmark
V. Discuss garment choices and options appropriate for patient diagnosis
